What are we doing?

We perform as a marching band for the neighborhood of Huntington Heights (located in north county San Diego, California, USA).

Our annual events are the Huntington Heights Halloween Hootenanny and the Huntington Heights Holiday Hoedown. We also play as the Omega Orchestra at St. Therese of Carmel Catholic Church.

What are you working on right now?

Highland Cathedral. We have a saxophone part, trumpet part, violin part, and euphonium part.

Why do you play Christmas Music on Halloween?

Mainly because it is entertaining and unexpected. Most everyone is familiar with the melody of Christmas music, so getting back into practice with that instrument you haven't picked up since high school marching band will be way easier than if we selected something like "Flight of the Bumblebee" . Sheet music will be provided. Practice and rehearsal times are flexible. Practices and rehearsals are held here in the neighborhood in a home. There will be refreshments, merriment, fun, support, and learning.

How do I start?

But I'm not any good!

We don't care. Really. You will get better (only) if you practice. So, come practice with us! Here is a recording of one of our practice sessions.
